The reason why I am blogging about Valentines is because I read a very disturbing email which I just cannot CANNOT agree with.

Mengikut beberapa sumber, Valentine adalah nama bagi seorang paderi Kristian yang giat menyebarkan agama tersebut di Rom ketika pemerintahan Raja Rom yang bernama Claudius II. Pada masa pemerintahannya, Claudius II telah memenjarakan orang-orang Kristian kerana mengamalkan agama yang bertentangan dengan agamanya.

Oleh kerana Valentine seorang penyebar agama Kristian, beliau juga telah ditangkap, diseksa dan akhirnya dihukum bunuh pada 14 Februari. Orang-orang Kristian menganggap bahawa Valentine merupakan seorang yang mulia kerana sanggup berkorban dan mati demi kasih sayangnya terhadap agama Kristian dan penganut-penganutnya. Dia disamakan dengan Jesus yang kononnya mati kerana menebus dosa yang dilakukan oleh kaumnya.

Valentine bagi penganut agama Kristian adalah lambang kasih sayang sejati diantara seorang hamba dengan Tuhannya dan sesama manusia. Dikatakan juga bahawa ketika di dalam penjara, beliau telah jatuh cinta dengan anak salah seorang pegawai penjara dan sebelum dibunuh, beliau sempat menulis sepucuk surat cinta kepada gadis tersebut yang bertulis "From your Valentine".

As a devoted Muslim, yes I believe in Allah and the prophet Muhammad. I understand this message is to warn Muslims not to celebrate Valentines day and I also understand Valentine's related to Christianity but this message was absolutely nonsense.

According to Wikipedia, theres actually more than one priest called Valentine and well, its better if you read it yourself.

Dyu see the differences between both theories? One view is that Valentine was jailed for spreading Christianity. Another view is that, Emperor Claudius wanted to expand his army and to increase manpower he ordered men to remain single.

Well in this case, I think it is the ones who made this email that HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CRAP THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!

READERS, bear in mind, these are all my personal opinion. Some of my friends say that Valentines Day represents the celebration of LOVE but some protests because LOVE should be celebrated everyday.

TRUE. Spot on true but honestly, to those that HAVE EXPERIENCE in LOVE, dyu expect to give your special ones something special and do something special for your love ones everyday???
Valentines day is just a day to further strenghthen the bond of Love between two people by giving or saying something special.

PLUS! Valentines Day is not just for couples. It is a day to celebrate LOVE, love of father, mother, siblings or cats or whatever! All this crap about Valentines Day being dark and ZALIM is just total rubbish.

I even found out that excluding Islam, some other people actually created ANTI VALENTINISM and this is just so SAD people. Its people who actually make images and condemn Valentines Day because there SINGLE. How pathetic is that? U dont have to be married or coupled to celebrate VD!

Lastly, I know that weeks ago, Imams sendiri said in the sermon to not celebrate Valentines Day. Unfortunately, I'll be honest with you, I dont REALLY TRUST Imams but I do know VD is related to Christianism and Roman Paganism. So this topic is quite controversial.

The thing is, I cant help but think that this is a strategy for the government to reduce imports of Valentine gifts from other countries. You wont realise it, but Bruneians as well as other countries spend millions and millions in these gifts and it is countries that supply this that become rich. More specifically these gifts are from the USA =D so I think there is more conspiracy in this topic.

AHHHHHHH, BLOODY HELL WHO CARES.

WHAT IS STRANGE HERE PEOPLE, ST.VALENTINE'S STORY AND DEATH HAD ABSOLUTELY GOT NO CONNECTION TO SENTIMENTAL LOVE.

I THINK THAT VALENTINES DAY WAS CREATED BY THE AMERICANS SO THEY CAN GAIN REVENUE FROM SELLING VALENTINE GOODS AND THUS SOME COUNTRIES DISCOURAGE VD TO REDUCE IMPORTS.
